Severe Weather November 14th

severe

A cold front will be making its move from west to east. Low pressure should develop along this front over Northern Indiana. This front will be responsible for the potential of severe weather.

CAPE is anywhere from about 500-1500

Lift index is 0 to negative 4

SWEAT index is anywhere from 300-450 depending where your reside with the greatest over the Ohio area..

EHI however is below 1.0 ..So while the SWEAT indicates tornadic potential the EHI would not..

Lapse rates look to be about 6.0 to 6.5

Deep layer shear is more then ample for severe weather ..

The main threat will be for wind damage but we can not ignore the SWEAT index, despite the EHI being low and will also point out a few tornado’s.
