Update on the Next Weather Maker

storm #1

We talked about this system several days ago when guidance and ensembles were showing this system to effect the region more to the north in the Mid Atlantic. Since that time models and ensembles have come more south.

This storm out in the west will be producing snow in the ranges of 3 inches to over a foot and there are blizzard warnings as well as winter storm warnings. This area of low pressure will move SE and then ENE before moving back to the south east and into the Southeast region. The cold front you see extending from the low to another low in Canada will move off towards the east but will cross the northeast and northern  mid Atlantic  with no precipitation.

Over the Southeast will be a different story with rainfall moving into the region. The heaviest rains in the east will be across North Carolina where up to an inch of rain will fall.

The weather across the Northeast will be fair and dry thru the seeable future… However..guidance is beginning to send signals that the pattern may be changing and things could get interesting the latter part of November across the Northeast & Mid Atlantic!
