As was much anticipated by myself , the 12 Z GFS has come in colder and also more moist. The 12 Z NAM has continued with the cold solution and has also come in more moist. This was to be expected with the teleconnections in place. Too many times people want to ignore the teleconnections..but to ignore them in the world of weather is akin to commiting weather suicide. So with the above said the map above is my preliminary map and it does not have accumulations on it yet. That will not be done till tonight after the 00z runs....
The map is based on a blend of the NAM/GFS ..leaning highly on the NAM for the temperature profile.
