April 13th Daily Weather Discussion

High temperature at KABE on April 12th was 65 degrees.

Today is generally going to be a partly cloudy to mostly cloudy day, especially across the southern portion of the forecast region.

A shortwave  trough is going to be dropping south across the region with some lifting due to a strong jet streak diving into the base of the trough and this will cause some showers across the region…especially in the southern region where the better lifting will occur.

Otherwise , the rest of the region can expect more clouds then sun . However, further north clouds will be less of a problem and sunshine should be more abundant.

Temperatures though because of being under the influence of this trough are going to be cooler then they were yesterday,,with the 40s in Maine and some 20s in the highest elevations….to the 50s elsewhere across the Northeast and the mid atlantic region…
