April 16th Daily Weather Discussion

The high temperature April 15th was 73 degrees at the Allentown International Airport.

Today is going to be a mainly cloudy sky across the region with an increasing chance of rain. Rain will be effecting the areas to the north and the west in the region and then as the cold front moves south and east the rain chances will be increasing across the areas to the south and the east. There may also be some thunderstorms, although at this point and time there is not to much to actually support severe weather. Though isolated severe maybe possible mainly in the form of winds..but again this is something that Real Wx Services is not to impressed with at this point and time.

If we can manage several hours of daytime heating from the sun, then this may have different results. As for now though we think clouds will more or less contaminate what otherwise could be severe potential.

Temperatures in the 40s to 50 in Maine , in the higher elevations of VT/NH where snow could occur temperatures will be in 30s. Northern NY in the 50s and then to the south of there kind of spring like in the 70s with even south of PA..
