April 8th Daily weather Discussion

April 7th a new record high temperature was set at Allentown with a high temperature of 92 degrees. This beat out a record high from 1929 which was 88 degrees.

Today once again is going to be another warm day but perhaps not quite as warm as yesterday. It will all depend on the speed and timing of the cold front advancing towards the region and how fast the clouds move into the region.

However, there is a good chance for showers and perhaps some severe thunderstorms across the region as this cold front approaches. Any areas that see these thunderstorms will experience heavier rains then those that do not see thunderstorms.

Temperatures are going to range from the 40s and 50s in northern new england into Maine and in the 70s to 80s from Southern New England and points south!
