As we have been saying the conditions around invest 97 L have not been favorable for development and they continue to not be favorable. Tropical season has finally slowed down and there is actually now no activity.
Looking at the environment around 97 L one can see why it has not been able to develop.
Shear is 20-30 knots across the system with no convergence and little divergence as the best lays to the SE. The vorticity is elongated and stretched out. The chances of this developing over the next 48 hrs are at around 0 %.
This will be the last update on this until it can tighten up enough to be declared an Depression. There is no guarantee that is going to occur however.
