April 10th Daily Weather Discussion

High temp on the 9th at ABE was 59 degrees. Once again thanks to the overnight low the day ended up with a negative departure. Though the resulting weather was quite nice.

Today will be more of an increasingly cloudy day. With the advancing of a warm front before a powerful cold front moves thru, clouds will be on the increase and this will also bring with it the chance of some showers from E PA into the Northeast but the steadiest rains look to be across the NE while the rest of the region in PA essentially is more of the light variety. Because the warm front is advancing thru there may be some strong thunderstorms into W PA but we are not really looking for any severe until the monday/tuesday time frame.

Speaking of that time frame we have no reason to change the severe zone for Monday –Tuesday considering the latest SPC map essentially is in agreement with the zone created back on April 6th.

Temperatures today will also be warming up from north to south from the 50s in Maine to the 60s to near 70 basically elsewhere across the region!
