April 4th Daily Weather Discussion

April 3rd high temperature was 58 degrees at KABE.

Today is going to be a cloudy day for the most part. However..if you are on the southern side of the warm front do not be surprised to see the clouds break for some sun to shine after the initial rains move thru..

Across the far northern areas of the NE from about MA northwards as the precipitation rides up there could be some snow but that will be changing to ice and then plain rain before the day is out as milder air advances into the region. To the south will be rain and a increasing chance for thunderstorms especially as we head into the later evening & then overnight hours.

We issued a map for the thunderstorms..the one correction that we want to make to that map is that they will be not only on the 4th but into the early part of the 5th.

Temperatures are going to be in the 30s and 40s from about MA north. To the south temperatures will be in the mid 60s to mid 70s and these temperatures will not really drop in the evening time. They will stay steady..but once the front comes thru the area they will then take a drop & it could be a sharp drop behind the front with much colder temperatures tuesday night!

We will be monitoring things very carefully thru the day today to keep an eye on any potential severe weather!
