Be Warned & For-warned In Advance!

Here is the link to this photo (click here)

Here is what that color means from the same link:

Red - Strong tornado chance, above EF2 TO EF3. At times it will produce an outbreak of tornadoes.

Now what makes it really interesting is when you go to the following link for the tornado scale from SPC (click here)

You see 111 miles up to 165 miles per hr..

Now..we here at Real Wx Services are under the understanding that yesterday the SPC had the area in a 5% tornado chance..however..there was also never a tornado watch issued and yet here is this site suggesting that the area had a strong tornado chance..

Be forewarned guys that this software that is being used is in testing stages and this software according to the site says the following:

T.R.A.M. outputs are not available for public use at the moment and are used for forecast articles.
TheWeatherSpace.com
Kevin Martin
Senior Meteorologist and Project Developer

So that now brings to question..why are they using this software as a means to issue forecasts for the public in life threatening situations?

We do realize there are some models that are being used in experimental stage and for example the F.I.M is one such model ..this model however (F.I.M) is a NOAA weather model that is in experimental stages. And being tested by a National Agency and has in the past even been mentioned by H.P.C.

We have nothing against experimental models lets make that perfectly clear but :

yesterday

When the forecast above is being touted as accurate and when the project developer says it is not for public use…makes you wonder why its being promoted on FB as the most accurate tornado predictor and better then Dr Greg Forbes?

We here at R.W.S believe the SPC image reflects on the accuracy of the T.R.A.M image above!
