Spring Is Coming-Some More Rain Before Hand

If guidance is any indication ..the dawn of spring is upon us with spring like temperatures about to invade the region with low temperatures in the 50s and highs in the 60s and 70s..

You can see the warmth coming in on the left hand panel which is the ECM..while on the right hand side..the GFS wants to try and keep a trough hanging out over the NE region which would keep temperatures cooler then what the ECM would have them to be.

However..you can see that the ensemble means are in general agreement with the ECM..

Before we get to this point and time though we will have another area of low pressure that moves across the region from the south or Southwest that will once again bring some moderate rain into the region with perhaps some snow on the northern fringes in the interior regions of the NE and New England.

At this point and time it appears that the rainfall will be no greater then an inch in the wettest locations with most areas around a half inch. This would appear to occur around the mid week period of wed/thurs. However, with saturated grounds from the last two events…the less rainfall the better for alot of the region.

There after it looks like things may quiet down and begin to warm up. Spring looks like it is about to spring forward.
