July 6th Daily Weather Discussion

July 5th High temperature @ KABE was 98 degrees which set a new record high temperature at ABE.

With yesterdays high temperature above 90 degrees, this constituted the first official heat wave of the season!

Today the weather is going to be no different. Mostly sunny skies and hot weather will continue with an increase in humidity as well. There could be some isolated showers and thunderstorms across the Northeast but the majority of us are going to end up high and dry across the area!

Temperatures today will be in the 90s to lower 100’s with the potential for more records to be broken.

Folks the heat the next couple days is not something you want to take lightly! Please do not stay outside for any long length of time without having plenty of water on you and available. Heat Stroke & dehydration are very real & can cause death! Please take the necessary cautions!
