August 2nd Weather Discussion

Back and forth we go!
Well the heat and humidity will be across the eastern side of the regions today of the mid atlantic and parts of the northeast. Interior regions will be slightly cooler , however, dewpoints are still going to be relatively high across the region. Before we get to the temperatures lets talk about the weather.
Looking at the satellite currently there are clouds scattered about the region causing the area mainly to be in partly cloudy skies. So i think that when most wake up today they will wake up to a mix of sun and clouds across the region. A warm front will be advancing northward thru the day , while a cold front approaches from the west. This cold front will be responsible for an increased chance of showers and thunderstorms across the region. Some thunderstorms could turn severe and there is a potential for very heavy rains with any of the thunderstorms.
Temperatures across the region will be 70-80 in the state of Maine, 70-80 thruout the interior NE into western PA..Southern New England into SE PA and NJ will be in the low to mid 80s. To the south of PA on the eastern side of the region low to mid 80s and on the western side will be 70-80.
