August 5th Weather Discussion
Was this Heat A Tease for Real Heat to Come?

A cold front is approaching the area today. Currently this cold front is approaching western PA and it will continue to drop to the south and to the east. Out ahead of this cold front is mainly partly sunny skies..warm and humid weather. Behind this cold front is slightly cooler air. Ahead of this cold front will be a line of showers and thunderstorms..some of which could go severe. However, at this point and time I am expecting only isolated severe with a greater threat of heavy rain that could cause flash flooding to occur with the recent heavy rains across the area. So i believe most areas east of the front should wake up to partly sunny skies. Once again the humidity will be quite high as well, making it feel quite muggy to the skin.
As far as temperatures are concerned...Out ahead of the front, along the east coast from Maine south ward into PA temperatures will be in the mid to upper 80s to near 90. South of PA...ahead of the front temperatures will be in the lower 90s. On the western side of the front temperatures will be in the upper 70s to lower 80s.
August 4th High temperature @ KABE was 86 degrees
