August 12th Daily Weather Discussion

High temperature at KABE on the 10th of August was 92

High temperature at KABE on the 11th of August was 93

This made three consecutive days at or above 90 degrees which made this another official heat wave in a summer that has been filled with heat.

However, once again relief from the heat is on its way though it may not seem like it in these early morning hours. Today is going to be a mainly cloudy day across the region with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Some of the thunderstorms have a potential to be severe but this would mainly be south of the PA/MD border with the potential for more isolated severe across central and Western Pa. Any of the storms will contain heavy rainfall. This also looks like it could be the beginning of a wet period to come thru the days ahead. Something to keep an eye on!

Temperatures today will generally be in the 70s thruout the majority of the Northeast to the 80s from about PA/NJ/NYC area on south.
