Pretty much as expected this storm was never going to lift off the ground so to speak and become a named system. The reasons for this have been stated pretty much in the Accu Weather forum where i post alot of thoughts that do not get posted on here. There will always be updates on the blog here but as far as tracking of a system and what my current thoughts are thru out the day they will always be found there. So if you are not a member of Accu Weather Forums but you want to know current thoughts on a system outside of the regular updates here then please join accu weather forums.
Real Wx said from the get go that they did not feal that this storm would make tropical storm or named status. Once again , pro agencies from NHC to Joe Bastardi felt that this would become a named system.
As of 4 PM CDT NHC has declared that TD#5 has been deactivated and dissipated. This does not come off as a surprise to the lead forecaster of R.W.S as i have been discussing the lack of convergence/divergence, the presence of a ULL, the dry air , and the easterly shear.
Perhaps a lesson to be learned here is that weather models are to be used as GUIDANCE and guidance alone. If they are not taking into consideration in there calculations the present environment and they are developing a hurricane or strong tropical storm..then they should be discarded and one should look at what is happening currently & now thru satellite, water vapor & its environment. Models will never be able to beat and take the place of NOWCASTING!
This is why I hope the readers will continue to come back here for the most accurate information relative to REAL TIME WEATHER FORECASTING without the hype & wishcasting!
