Gaston continues to not impress…

Gaston continues to move off to the west and continues to struggle with the dry air that has been the problem since day 1 with this system. Also now another factor to equation in the over all picture is that he is going to be very close to land if not actually going across land. He will continue to produce heavy rains and some gusty winds but this should be the last write up on Gaston unless once he gets into the Western Caribbean he were to develop. Currently it does not seem like that will be the case with development.

Elsewhere in the tropics everything is relatively quiet once again and take note that we are now in the peak of hurricane season.

Once again the lack of activity can be attributed to the dry air that is in place which is completely not like a La Nina…

We will see what the rest of the season brings ..so far the totals stand at 8 named storms…
