These are the latest images on what is being called Tropical Storm Igor. Off to the NE of the system is PGI 42L and you can see this clearly in the vorticity image..

This system to the NE is causing interference of the system developing at this point and time. Also you can tell that IGOR is suffering from shear as it has a very sheared look to it and it seems on the visible image above that the center is exposed.

So the forecast philosophy has not changed with this system with it developing slowly due to the shear, dry air and the system that is off to its NE. Should continue to move off to the west north west for the time being.
