Lisa Now A Tropical Depression!

As of 5 AM the NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER has now downgraded Lisa to a tropical depression.

wv-l

If you recall the last update on Lisa that we put across was that this indeed was not any longer a tropical storm. Finally NHC comes out with that verification.

What continues to be interesting to note is that Lisa continues to move off to the east and now at 5 MPH and yet the NHC track continues to show a WNW track.

Now if one goes back into the storm archives on the NHC page and looks at the 21st at 11 PM you can see that this system has been moving either NE or ENE or E ..the complete OPPOSITE of what there track is showing and yet they continue to show the actual movement in the track.

I am not sure why they continue to do this..perhaps its relying a little too much on models instead of what is actually happening.

R.W.S is the only forecasting team out there that has been calling for this to continue to weaken.

I must admit though i do find it interesting that this is actually moving the opposite direction of which cyclones normally move..that is until they get caught in the westerlies..
