Tropical Storm Lisa ..Some Negative Factors!

vis-l

wv-l

As of 6 Z Tropical Storm Lisa still remains at 40 KT and 1002 Mb’s. However..she does not look all that organized and there are some negative factors working against this system as of 6 Z and I would not be surprised if she came in lower at the 5 AM update..

First of all the waters that she is travelling over are a bit on the cool side compared to the waters further to the south. This could slow or impede further development..

As you can see the track is expected to keep it over these cooler waters. Next is the shear. Shear is about 10-20 knots but there is greater shear to the north of the system.

Presently the greatest conversion lies to the east of the system and there is no divergence involved with this system as of 6 Z.

Perhaps still another factor surrounding this system is what looks to be dry air starting to approach the cyclone..

dry

So as you can see there are several negative factors right now involved. Now the last advisory which was 11 PM from NHC had the system moving NE but only at 2 MPH and there track however..took the system to the WNW. That was a little confusing to say the least considering present movement was opposite of the track that they laid out. So we will have to see if this does start to move towards the WNW or if it continues on its N or NNE movement.

Development, if any should be rather slow with this system due to the factors above.

Next up 95 L to be or not to be is the question!
